DeLaRosa, Aurelio
Aurelio DeLaRosa joined the Rockford Illinois Police Department in April of 1991, where he serves in the patrol division, training division and SWAT team.
Aurelio's work experience include positions as police cyclist, police armorer (Smith & Wesson, Colt, Glock, and Remington), police firearms instructor, verbal judo instructor, field training officer, department translator, cultural diversity instructor, OCAT (pepper spray) instructor, and police swat sniper, and police defensive tactics instructor.
His extensive training was through the National Law Enforcement Training Center, Police Training Institute, the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration, Performance Dimension INC and REB Training International INC., and Springfield Police Academy/FBI Advanced Swat Tactics.
Mr. DeLaRosa is a US Army Veteran and has earned several wartime commendations which include: The Purple Heart, Army Commendation Award, Expedionary Medal, Combat Rifle and Combat Patch 82nd Airborne. Aurelio served with Delta Company 3/504 PIR 82nd Airborne Ft Bragg, NC as a Sergeant in charge of an infantry unit for 4 years.
Aurelio is also certified through the National Law Enforcement Training Center under the direction of Mr. Jim Lindell to give instruction on several law enforcement topics which include, Lateral Vascular Neck Restraint (LVNR), Ground Defense / Control Tactics System, Monadnock Control Device & PR 24, Arm Control and Escort System.
Aurelio's martial arts background consists of Shoto Kan Karate, the Fighting Arts/ Tae Kwon Do, and Greco Roman Wrestling.
Aurelio DeLaRosa has been able to blend together his extensive training and experience for law enforcement needs as well as teaching skills for the private sector.
