Kaminski, Steve

Steve Kaminski is a 15 year Veteran of the Cudahy, Wisconsin Police Department assigned to the Patrol Division. He is also a member of the Tactical Response Team and a Use of Force Instructor for his Department.

Steve first attended a National Law Enforcement Training Center seminar in 1990 and became a National Trainer in 1994. He has taught a number of NLETC courses around the Midwest and Florida and actively promotes Defensive Tactics training.

He is a Certified State of Wisconsin Defensive Tactics Instructor and Firearms Instructor, and was instrumental in the development of policies for the use of pepper spray by law enforcement officers in Wisconsin. He also serves as an Instructor for the Nikko-Ki Training Club in Rockford, Illinois.

Steve has attended the United States Secret Service Dignitary Protection course and has served on a number of protection details, including the 2000 presidential campaign.

He has assisted in the writing of articles regarding police use of force and has been published in both Police Marksman and Police Magazine.
