Phillips, James H.

Jim is a police officer with the Lawrence, Kansas Police Department hiring on in 1977. Jim took his first Lindell Method of Handgun Retention course from Mr. Lindell in 1981. Since then, Jim worked his way to the level of National Trainer. Jim is also a Monadnock certified Instructor Trainer in expandable baton and a trainer in PR-24.

Jim is a certified firearms instructor and currently teaches Kansas Concealed Carry classes. Jim is a police department crisis negotiator and is developing a first responder instructor course in Verbal De-Escalation Tactics that will hopefully be added to the NLETC curriculum.
